I know I asked this a long while back when I was trying it. Now I'm ready to go at it again.
Has anyone replaced the interior door panel fabric on their own with success? I did my front driver door with the leather from my seat covers & it looks like shit... still. I'm pretty sure it's b/c the old fabric was dirty & I tried to clean it, but I still installed over it. Plus, it was when I still smoked, so all that tar & nasty sh*t was on there.
Any help is great. I really don't wanna pay to get it done. I did the seats fine & I'm about to do it again so I want to upgrade the doors as well. Thanks! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

i did my doors,,this is the best pic i have,,,,,,,,thw way i did it is i took off the factory fabric entirely,,,,then took off all the glue,,,,underneath is plastic,,then i reupholstered that,,,comes out alot better than covering the existing cloth....at least i think so

yea i did that the first time too,,,this is like the 4th time i do my interior,,,,,,,,,,the problem i had when i did it over the clothis that it looked kinda puffy,,,and i didnt like that look,.since the oem material on the door already have foam underneath,,it makes it puffier when u add more material to it.....so i just took it all off ,,,for a cleaner, smoother look.
