Went by Road Race the other day to get a price to install the Apexi SAFC on my V6. They said they would not install it unless I found out about an additional wire harness or adapter kit that goes with it. Has anyone installed the SAFC, and did you need this adapter for it to work correctly?

yeah now that I see you have a V6 I think you do need to get teh fix. talk to fishboy about it he'll have all your inco or any of teh other V6 members should know.

There's some issues with the V6 and finding the rpm signal. You need to use the crank position sensor. That pin has a higher voltage, so there's a fix called Satchmo's fix that limits the voltage going into the AFC so it doesn't blow it out. You can get the fix over at club 3g. Just search for Satchmo and you'll find it. I beleive Matt used the same fix on his AFC when he was running one.

just remember: you have no knock sensor. so the brown wire is useless

Well, I am going to have a shop install it most likely. I have never been good at wiring things up. When I get ready to hook this thing up I will have to find the Satchmo fix before I have it installed. Thanks for the help.
