alternator probs help!!!!!

i have replaced my alternator 3 three times :shock: :?: it goes out and my car spazes the gages go crazy. the car jerks and every time im told its the alternator. ive replaced it over and over again. can the trouble be caused by something else :?: :!: ???? help :!: :!:

it sux that i cant help you with your problem, cuz i really dont know whats goin on there, never had any problems like that before. what year is your galant?

I had the same problem because I had 2 much juice going to the battery and I blew a fuse. Check the fuse on the positive battery terminal. If that fuse is blown, your alternator will not charge the battery properly therefore making it appear as though the alternator is bad when it really isn't.

you got any aftermarket stereo equipment? subs amps? anything that could be drawing too much current from the alternator?
