How much damage do you think this is? (Pics included)

I just had a lil accident the other night, where another car was comin my way around a curve and was more than just a little in my lane, i merged over a little because of reflexes or i probaly would of let him hit me..who knows..anyway, i merged over and hit a small bump and gravel on the side slamming me into the guard rail. The other guy just kept driving, I just have liability because I cant afford any insurance higher, since im only 17 and my parents arn't rich. But anyway, here is the result:

my suggestiion, learn how to do body work and find you a junk yard cuz if u get a shop to fix it, thats gonna cost a pretty penny.

i crahed my car on th freeway goin around 65 and hit the wall when my front right tire blew.. it was hit the same side as urs but worst than urs.. i went to maaco..yes i paid... but they did such a good job that whenever i mention that i crashed it to people.. they would not beleive me .. so.. say if u work and willing to put some money in that go with maaco.. but if u do not work than i guess. do it yourslef but aint going to look as good as new..

True, I do work, but I have to pay for other things and can't afford to get it fixed because I'm thinking it will be at least 2-3000. I'm thinking that i can just buff out and paint the stuff after the front passanger door, but i'll have to get a new fender and front pass. door, saving me some money, but I'm not too sure because I'm not too familar with painting and all that stuff.

Nope, not yet. I do plan on getting it fixed but not in the near future. I got a lot of bills to pay and I plan on goin on spring break also. But hopefully I'll find a way before summer time and college comes around.

If I could just get that mirror back up, it wouldnt look half as bad. I tried some stuff I put on the little holes on the inside one time when they fell off, didnt work, I think I'm gonna stop somehwere and try some nail lightning or whatever it's called.

That doesn't look half as raggedy-ass as this one stock 8G that runs around town, but for some reason, everyone still thinks it's beautiful.

A fender and two doors. bout 3 pints or paint and 1 pint clear and you should be good. Body shop will charge you at least 2500 just to touch the car. and then they charge you to take off the old parts and put on the new ones.

Better off changing the parts yourself, then go to a shop and get it painted.

TAKE A POWER DRILL AND START SCREWING HOLES INTO THE FENDER AND EACH TIME....PUL ON IT TO PULL THE FENDER OUT.....AND SAME FOR ANY OTHER PART THAT IS CAVED IN......THEN AND THE AREA DOWN AND APPLI BONDO......THEN BRAK DOWN WITH 60 GRIT SANDPAPER....REAPLAY BONDO AS NEEDED....AND GO FROM 60, TO 100, THEN 150...THEN 220.......AND USE HIGH RISING PRIMER TO PREP FOR PAINT..............

i rearended soem one about a year or so back and it was a little bit worse than that, plus i held the steering wheel so hard that when i hit i bent it and broke the mounting bolts and the airbags went off after i hit, missed my face, and a isaw it comeout in slowmotion.......

cost the insurance company about $7300.00 i tried to get ti totaled but they wouldnt do it, but it is fixed now and looks new

ok lets clear this up...they are a franchise, they use the same materials, and the same paints...regardless of how nice it looks when it's new and how good a job the guy does, the fact still remains that they use shitty paint that doesn't last very long...honestly, this is the first person i have ever heard that said maaco is actually good...the old saying "you get what you pay for" comes in to play here...i would just rather trust my local body shop and get 10x better work for maybe double the price and have it last then have to redo it again and again...that's all.

well, first of all, i dont really know how they work and do their operations, i would never take my car there either, i also have my own body shop that i take my car to. but 1) do you know for sure that ALL the maacos use the exact same paint? and 2) even if they do use the same paint, im sure two guys can use the same paint on a car, and the result can be totally different, cuz one guy might actually know what he is doing, and the other guy, well, he wont. although "you get what you pay for" applies probably 98% of the time. not always. what if there is one guy who does a great job doing oil changes, and he just happens to be my best friend, he will give me a great discount where i will pay half of what he charges his best clients. does that mean he will do half the job on my car? not really. but that doesnt even matter right now. i guess what happened, happened, so we could just leave it be.
