If i take out the headlight reflector will it make the HID'd much brighter?

Then I stand correct, so it will be brighter 180 degree but not where you need it (on the ground)

i took off my reflectors and its a hell of alot brighter than they were before.....these are 8000k HIDs btw

good god. i would be so pissed if you were driving behind me man.
the worst is the cadilac SUV with 1zillion K HIDs behind you. with them directly aimed at your mirrors. :evil:

its really a pitty they look so cool :wink:

lol, you do know that the more k they have, the less light they put out, right?

you probably mean you took off the shield that is right in front of the bulb. the reflector is behind the bulb. taking off the reflector would scatter the light all over the place.

i have JDM heads w/ dual HID. that means that my low beams are shielded (like the USDM heads) but my high beams are pretty much bare bulb surrounded by a chrome reflector. so that u can see the difference here is a pic w/ the low and hi beams on at the same time. the low beams are almost unbearably bright but the hi beams are painful to look at. the low beams are on the outside and the hi beams are on the inside.

actualy i didnt know that. ive never really looked into HID lights
