i'm sure its been asked millions of times but which is better? i'm of the fake hid bulbs you can buy at autozone, etc. i want a blueish/purple but not to the extreme...so cancel out 10000 or 12000 k. on ebay different sellers show different pics, so with 6000k just looking bright white, others a lil hint of blue. if it has blue/purple then i want it, if not then 8000k. i want it to look more stock, than after martket, more like audi, bmw, acura.cadillac, etc! any good brands, mc cullough,phillips/???any others...galant owners that have HID's, let me know something.

my 8000k are more whitish with a slight suibtle blue tint to them,,,,diegos look somehow light green,,,,,my friend also had 6000k HIDs and they looked the exact same way as diegos did........although sometimes in cameras the tints are exxageratted

i have mccoulough bulbs... and i have JDMs so i have seperate bulbs.. as for the usdm heads.. NOARMLLY the HID you get for single beam/bulb lamps you just get lows, but you can get high/low bulb that costs much more... i blieve www.hidking.com sells them

i have CATZ 4300k HID h4 hi and low....but watch some of the kits you pay for hi/low with...because they'll just stick a halogen bulb in with the HID bulb...so when you hit the highs, its a halogen, not a xenon...i have a control box that came with my kit that rotates the bulb or somethin, not exactly sure...but they work great, and i can see awesome at night....and even though they arent 6000k or 8000k, they are a bright white with hint of blue/purple at different angles...exactly how i wanted them....

8000K is the way to go. You'll fuck up everybody with stock HID's. I swear, people in Lexus's, BMW's and Audi's will be hating when you pull up behind them or pull next to them. It makes their lights look plain 'ol. I was driving behind this new Avalon in the fast lane and when I went to pass him and got in front of him (he was now behind me) I noticed he had HID's too but they looked ordinary, not impressive as mine. Needless to say, he wanted to race after that point. I was not having that. He had dealer plates. It wasn't even his car.

I bought the McCulloch hi/lo HID's off Ebay. By far one of the better mods I've done on the Galant. They are real simple to install and take only a few minutes. No need to connect to the battery like the old Philips HID. The instructions are pretty vauge but the components are like an easy puzzle to assemble once you look at it, and have some basic electronics skills.

BTW, I personally will say no picture will do the HID's justice. You'll just have to see for yourself and you'll fall in love with your Galant again (if you ever lost love for it like I have a few times).

yea the only true oem HIDs that are impressive are the new maxima ones,,,,,those things are nice,,,,u could see em from like a mile away.....besides that u will blow them away with 8000k set ups......the more up in temp u go the more pink/purpleish they get..... heres how the color and temperatures work..
