Im one of the unlucky ones that have a crack on my manifold. Dealer is asking for $ 900 for a new manifold & gasket installed  So, Im thinking for that price why settle for stock if you can get aftermarket. I know Rippmods is yet to release their manifold but I was thinking since a lot of EVO 8 owners now are using Magnus intake manifold, & some here has done EVO head/ 64 conversion. Can we use Magnus intake manifold?

even if it does bolt up, its a garunteed torque KILLER on an unmodified-lightly modified engine, it MIGHT give you better top end, but these manifolds are designed for boosted cars that need alot more air than your engine ever will. the long runners in your stock manifold are there to increase intake air velocity, which gives you more low end torque.
if you are boosting, go for it. if not, look for somthing more like stock, w/ long runners.
if you do put one of these on inspite of the promising loss of torque, count on fuel map modification to make anything hapen with this manifold.
just get a replacement stocker.

on a lightly modified engine, your money really will be much better spent elsewhere. go to the yard to get a replacement manifold.

It's going to take some tig welding and some fabrication so you will have to get somebody if you can't do it yourself.I have about 300.00 in mine so far and it is still is not finished.Just waiting on some welds then it will go in.I wish I had a finished project but I know it will work.I can tell you how to do it but like I said it is untested anybody out there that wants to know send me a pm and I will share what I know.I don't want to take anything away from ripp so you can decide which way is best for you. Thanks maximus

Thanks for your reply & im sorry if I didnt add the reason why I wanna get this DOHCtunr too, is c'uz I've been trying to get boosted since last year & what is just delaying it is cause of the new engine problem that occured last month. In case you didnt know what happen here is the link from last year:

AFC or E manage will do right?

Sorry to hear about your car. When you get boosted you can run either the safcII or the e-manage, the e-manage is going to be a better tune for you.If you plan on running anything over the 450cc injectors I would get the e-manage.You can buy the e-manage with all the harnesses for about 395 which is a really good deal for keeping your car in tune.I hope your car is ok and I hope you get your money back from that so called company.

Is there any aftermarket intake manifold that will bolt up w/o customizing and improve the performance of a stock 4g64?

Not yet.The only company that is working on one is ripp. They still have not tested it.You can check there forums and see if they have made any progress. The last I heard is that the intake manifold is going to be made of plastic.

nothing wrong with some strong plastic. perfectly smooth runners will give great flow, and the intake charge will stay cool, all the way to the cylinders.
Plastic is great, my left nut is plastic, and it works great.

This is true about the plastic keeping the temps down for the intake manifold.I am looking forward to seeing what ripp produces for there intake manifold. The last pic I saw of it,it was made out of metal. So tell us how cold that nut get's in the winter time or do you put a sock on it so you don't get frost bit on your skin. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

the entire thing is going to be plastic?? are you sure it's not just that they are including a phoenelic spacer?

That was just our rought prototype that was created. I am still waiting to hear of any updates from my tech guys and engineers. Any updates on this manifold will get posted.
