has anyone ever tried the MECCATUNE hit kits out on ebay? i was thinkin of getting the 12000k one thats there for like 260 and it comes with a 3 year warante.

BMWs use 4300k, along with every other car w/stock HIDs (some use 4100k as well).

10k or 8k would be LESS blue with more light output, meaning more light on the road but less intense the color. my 12k's are an intense blue, which is exactly what i wanted. the higher the color temp, the better the color, but less light.
at the same time tho even a 12000k kit which has the least light output of hids still produces at least 2x, if not more, light then regular halogen bulbs. being we live in nyc i didnt really see the need for me getting an 8k kit so i could have more light. but if i lived in like oklahoma or something or even new jersey i wouldve prolly went with a 8 or 10k kit. hope this helps

i have 10k and man.. thats the best blue i have seen.. my friends has 12 k.. and its purplish so.. depends on what brand i think..as well as the bulb

yess, 12K will have less light output than a 6K. the higher you go in temperature, the less lightout you have. but you took the meaning to the extreme. analogy: the more 5lb dumbells i throw into my Evo MR, the slower it gets....and it's still going to be fast. a 12K HID will still rape a halogen anywhere and put out a ton of light.

im just curious as to how im making a fool of myself. explain it to me. for the 4 millionth time my 12000k HID kit is BLUEEEEEEEEEE. look at my pictures. BLUEEEEEE.BLUEEEEEE.BLUEEEEEE. if you don't believe me i will stick your moronic face into my headlight and turn on my lights, and you will be blinded by an intense BLUEEEEEEE color. its as simple as that, get that through your thick skull. i dont understand what the problem is. you have yet to say anything worthwhile in this thread. and if you think im a "noob", maybe i am in these galant forums, but i was involved alot in the maxima.org forums before i got my g, so watch what you say dick.

I have the 8000k kit and they are blue, my low beams were the HID and the highs were the reg lights but i have to use my high beams because people kept flashing me when i had the hid's on for my low beams (they were bright) good for a show though.

Anyways, personally Im happy I got projectors. Granted they won't be blue like the 12k kits, they do make awsome colorful cut off. Since I installed them upside down, they literally make a rainbow on the road.
