Should I Do This Paint Job?

As some of you know, I have the CF EVO hood. I was going to paint it, but I want some feedback from you guys to see if I should paint it like this. I would have to paint the grill black ect, but that is not that hard.

gotta amit it looks good, with that paint.
If that was mine though, i would have to check with my budget.
If you have that extra money, then yeah- paint it. But if you don't really have it, or if you have any doubts if it is worthed then do not.


On the other hand that is really original, and you know I like to be original.

I am someone who feels if you buy something CF let people know it's there. But I have to admit it looks pretty good painted. I think with the color of your car I would paint it the way it is shown. It would also separate you from the rest of the CF hood owners.

as fare as looks ya paint it but one thing I dont get is why? Why paint it the whole reason for getting a cf hood is for light weight. RIGHT? So why paint it thats just putting even more weight, yes I know that not like its going to make a huge diff. its just the point of it you know? :roll:

yeah, better not paint it, you'll gain a whole .05 lbs from the paint... :roll:

Leave it unpainted. my opinion is that it retains a more natural aggresive look. Nevertheless, it looks awesome!! Nice job! 8)

I think it looks pretty cool. But what really matters is whether or not you'll like it, as you own it so that's the important part hehe. The only way I'd leave the whole hood black is if I had a black or real dark colored car. I personally think it looks odd black, like the person got into a car wreck and didn't have it painted yet. If the only reason a person gets a CF hood is so other people can see it, that seems kinda trendy to me. But then, that's just me. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

I think it looks awesome painted.
1 It ties the seam beautifuly, and gracefuly - what a Galant WANTS to be.
2 I think people are more likley to go "What kind of car is that" vs. "is that hood made of Carbon Fiber"
