Go to the dealer and get the strut bar for the 3G Eclipse GT. Those will fit the 8G Galants and it only costs about $50 bucks.

Problem solved

electrodyne should have the strut bars. and if they don't they should have it before anyone else since they are the manufacturer. their prices are lil bit higher though.

i would'nt risk buying a no name ebay strut bar.

Just get the Eclipse stb from the dealer. My dealer wanted $95 for it , so I ordered it from http://donherring.com/Default.aspx ('http://donherring.com/Default.aspx') and it was $62 shipped. Great customer service too, and they are fast, would do business with them again https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif (btw thanks Danger Danj! )

No problem. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif I bought mine from them years ago and it was a little cheaper, but I guess they cost more now, or shipping costs more now. Anyway, yeah, I've dealt with Don Herring Mitsubishi a few times and every time their service and prices were great.

ah yes the dreaded ebay trickeroo... although I've seen a few Galants w/ the same flat strut bar like the one I got and I'm thinkin I might throw it on until I can get something else down the road...

NO! DON'T BUY THOSE! I bought those way back when I first got the Galant in 1999 and cut them down to fit, but they were a bitch to try and mount, not to mention how ugly they looked. I was stupid back then. Here is a pic.

Does any of you guys know if the strut bar mentioned above would fit on my Euro spec Galant? Are the mounts the same for USDM Galants?

i think you should be able to call your dealership and tell them what you want and they should tell you if they have it in stock or wht. if anything, ask them for the part#.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>3G strut bar part numbers MR468848 (bar), MR468851 and MR468852 (left and right brackets). You also have to pick up four nuts (sorry, forgot the size, but I remember using metric size nuts) and four washers</div>

Should we get those nuts and washers from the dealership also?? or just buy it from home depot??

pinoyesv6

you can get the nuts and washers at home depot. but then if you just get everything at the dealer, it will save you a trip to home depot. its just nuts and washers, can't be that expensive.
