Can anyone tell my where the "DOOR" is located. What i mean by door is....the dor that switches from hto to cold. I believe it is the door that is causing my heat to not work....thats what my mechanic said....but if neone knows where the "door would be let me know. I was told that it was behind the radio to the right but i dont see a anyhing there....

What your looking for is what's commonly called a "blend door" - it mixes the hot air from your heating core with cool outside air to reach the set temp. At any rate, the Galant does not have a "blend door" per say. There is a "INSIDE/OUTSIDE AIR CHANGEOVER DAMPER MOTOR" which serves the same function. If you look at your blower fan, it is mounted above and to the left of the dircular/disc housing. If you have an in-cabin filter, it's just to the left of that. (If you don't have an in-cabin filter, it's just to the left of the spot where it would be). It mounts to the duct housing with four screws.

If you have the 8g service manual, it's on pg 55-33.

#1 in the first picture is the cabin air filter (i can see it in your pic).

#5 in the first pic Jet Black posted is the damper motor.

Thanks alot guys.....DO i have to take out the dask to access it? Or can i just get to it by taking out my glove box....
