I know the dampinging rate on the basic is non-adjustable. I was wondering how did it ride compared to the SS? The SS are a good $300 more than the Basic, which can go toward the EDFC system.

Thanks.

i think its hard to say w/o someone owning both. and people who buy the SS, wouldnt buy the basic afterwards to compare https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

i made a post similar to this on the eclipse forums (they are made for the eclipse after all) and i didnt get a straight answer

the EDFC adjusts dampening so you can't use the EDFC on the basics

Yup! In fact, I don't believe the EDFC will work on the SS version, only the SS-P version because you need the pillow ball upper mounts. I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure the EDFC won't fit with the stock upper mounts, which is what you have to use with the SS's.

The last time I looked on Tein's website, this page ('http://tein.com/mitsubishi.html') to be exact, they only listed a part number for the SS-P's. Now they have a part number for the SS's, but it's a different part number. So, I guess you can get the EDFC for both.

Doesnt Cali have the SS? I know he's running EDFC, but not sure on the exact dampers.

Ehh well, I just ordered the Tein Basic coilover kit. Ill let you guys know how it goes, I will be installing them as soon as I get them. I could'nt take riding on sprint springs and stock shocks/struts. It was ok at first but after awhile the ride suckz!
