I used to get over 300 miles on a full tank of gas, but now I get about 250 miles on a full tank (highway miles). What could be the cause? My Galant is a V6 with about 80K on it.

Oh yeah, how easy is it to change spark plugs on the V6? I'm not good at maintence stuff like that, but sounds easy to change them.

Well, if your car has 80k miles, and the plugs have never been changed, that could be causing decreased gas mileage.

I had my plugs changed at my 60K service, but I'm almost positive they used cheap plugs, so I'm going to put better ones in.

along with that, check and clean you TB. Change your air filter. Change out the plug wires if you're still on factor ones. Change your cap and rotor. You know, the normal tune up stuff...

You do realize that you have to remove the intake manifold to get at the plugs on the rear bank?

removing the plenum isn't that hard. actually i found it to be really simple. its just time consuming. find this bolt, remove this bolt, find this sensor remove this sensor. remember where everything goes.

it took me like 4-6 hours to do mine. yea that sounds long but when i did it, my car was slammed to the ground so i'd haev to go on breaks every once in a while to save my knees and back. then i also removed stuff that you really odn't have to like your battery. totally not needed but i did it anyways.
