short ram components??

It will come with everything you need to install it, including the MAF adapter, the silicone connections and the clamps. It's real easy to DIY in less than an hour.

As far as maintenance, you should clean the outside to keep it bright and shiny. The filter is a K&N and comes pre-oiled. You don't need to do anything to the filter for about 50,000 miles. You can pick up a K&N filter cleaning kit at your local auto parts store when the time comes. That comes with a cleaning solution and new oil. Other than that, the unit is maintenance free. You should remove it at least twice a year to clean your throttle body.

as for what it will replace, it will replace everything in your stock intake except for the MAS.
