I saw another member w/ it, looked nice, and I noticed it had an EGT sensor feature. Since I'm going nitrous, if I got this HUD and the EGT probe would that be safe enough for my nitrous monitoring?

FYI, the unit by itself only monitors speed and rpm - to get the other functions (EGT, oil/fuel pressure, oil temp - sorry peano, it doesn't do boost https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif ) you will need to also get the Control Unit II, then the corresponding sensor kit.

You can get the Control Unit II pretty cheap on ebay

EGT reading will just tell if you if you're getting close to melting some pistons. it'll prevent you from running up and down the street spraying over and over. it won't however tell you if shit is going down inside the cylinder i.e. pre-detonation or an overly-lean mixture. i'm not sure if it'll help you see if you're pushing it too much in a high gear.

so wandering, if i were to get this by itself it'd tell me speed and rpm, or this plus the control unit II would tell me speed and rpm? I might as well get that now then add on the other features down the road
