People ask all the time about nitrous. It's always the same questions: what do i need to run nitrous, why is it so cheap, my brother's sister's stepfather's uncle said i'll blow my motor, my cousin said it was for ricers, etc etc etc.

I normally don't like to refer people to another forum, but there's no real helpful nitrous threads here. Drop everything you think you know about nitrous and read with an open mind.

DSMTuners Guide on Nitrous by Colossus ('http://dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95063')
DSMTuners Nitrous Forum ('http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=11') - Once you get going, this is the place to learn everything you need to know. Read and search first, then post. If you want to truly immerge yourself, this is the place to be.

ImportCarPartsPlus has the best prices I have ever seen on nitrous kits ('https://www.thegalantcenter.org/viewtopic.php?t=28233'). If you're going to buy one, I recomend you buy it through him.

NX (Nitrous Express) ('http://www.nitrousexpress.com/') is regarded as the best brand nitrous kit, with ZEX ('http://www.zex.com/') following behind. NOS ('http://www.holley.com/nosnitrous/index.html') has lost it's reputation ever since Holley bought them out.

Nitrous works by cooling air. When the nitrous is atomized, it can reach tose extremely low level temperatures, and cool the intake air greatly.
so you really wouldnt need a C.A.I. would you? a short ram should be fine?

you can run nitrous on your stock intake if you really want to.

I want to set her up with a 50 shot. Does she "have" to upgrade her fuel pump for that? Or are the fuel pumps on the 1999 Galants good enough? For maxi pads we typically upgrade the pump for shots like 75, 100+

nah i wouldnt, but i was asking because stock maxima fuel pumps are sufficient for anything under a 75 shot...no need for the  comment, thanks for the info...

If you dont get an aftermarket fuel pump, at least rewire it.

i would think if you was using a 50shot of nos you would be ok with stock fuel delivery. all you would really need is a fpr, gauge and some way of monitoring the shot like a wideban . to make sure it doesnt lean out..
