I got my donor switch in today from ebay and i got straight to it.
For people with my range of experience its pretty easy. For those who have questions about the terms i use in this description, you're gonna probably need someone to hold your hand to do this..
The mirror switch is held in just like the fog light switch. remove that big panel that hte switches are mounted to. blah blah blah figure that part out. its easy.
once the panel is out, the switch is held into that lil panel. figure out how to take that out. its easy. not telling you how cuz if u odn't learn now, you'll never finish the project.
there is 2 main parts to the switch. the front and the back. if front holds the button to the actual switch. and the back holds all the circuitry. if you look on the sides of the switch you'll see that the 2 halves are held together just like how the switch was held on the panel. so seperate the two halves.
once you seperate the two halves you'll see the two bulbs that light up the switch.
ground is the terminal closest to the center and positive is the one farthest from the edge.
the two bulbs are hooked up in parallel and are fed 12v.
i odn't have pics yet cuz i can't close the switch back up. i seem to lost my soldering iron and i can't permanently attach my lights to the switch but they do hook up and they are wired up.
i do have a tutorial page up on my site but its not public yet since its only 90% done but as soon as its done i'll post it.
