I am wanting a new body kit for my 2003 G. I currently have the invader style, which I assume was the jap version b/c I did have to remove my front bumper support. I would like to get a polyurethane kit or a really good fiberglass. Cost is not a factor at this point. Does anyone know of any co. or websites that I can order a kit from and not get a piece of turd? The kit I have I got off of Ebay for $200 plus shipping. It took me a week to fill and fit this mofo. This go around I dont have the time to cut and fit. So if you know of any dependable kits, let me know asap. Thanks in advance for any info.

I think the kits on Andy Autosports are for the Japanease version, the version I want to do away with b/c of having to remove the front bumper support. I will give them a call today and verify that.

Thanks for the info!

if cost is not a factor, have a body shop custom-fabricate you a kit that'll fit perfectly and w/o having to remove any support

Thanks in advance for any info. The kit I got is USDM "direct fit bolt on" and its still not actually direct fit but your crashbar stays intact. Front fitment is awesome side skirts fitment sucks too short like most of the kits out there back bump tight and styrofoam had to be removed. There is no fiberglass kit that fits easily but thats the M.O. of fiber kits. The poly kits generaly always fit better and much better chance of bolting on than fiberglass. I would look for a quality thick (many layers) hand laid fiber kit and just expect to do some prep and modifying tho cus the kit that just bolts on to a G doesn't exist.

Well, to no one's suggestions, i just got a kit from Extreme Dimensions. This kit is the same exact style that I had before. The quality of this kit is exactly the same as the $200 kit i got off ebay. I will have to spend a lot of time to get this one to fit also. The back bumper does seem like it would fit a little better than the ebay kit but I will not know for sure until I get to installing it. But if I had to do this again, I would buy the $200 ebay kit over the $750 kit from Extreme Dimensions. Here are some pics.

Ha, Ipaintu, you had never mentioned that you sold them to me. If you did, I do not remember. Well I am stuck with this kit and I can make it work. I just did not want to spend all the time cutting and fitting. I just spent 2 hrs on the side skirts and have those ready. Its looking like it will be another 40hr job.

Everyone was saying you get what you pay for. So if I payed 200$ and got shit, I figured 750$ would be a lot better. Guess I got screwed again, and they didn't even use the KY. Like I said, I will make it work, paint it, and it will look great.

But I strongly advise people to try Ipaintu's kits or get some cheap ones. Regardless of what you pay, its going to be a pain. I hear that VIS has some excellent kits.

I have seen one of the kits i sold on a car here. The guy had a shop do it. I called them and asked how was install He told me same thing I asked about sides Just cut. He also said tho...... If you pull doors this would be one of the best kits he seen to install. Since it came with a full doorjam.

He says he cut his and was done with it. He is one told me about back bumper being so easy It was drill and fit. He says front was fairly easy Had to drill some and remake the front nose grille area from JDM .
Which all here says that HAS to be done. In all he says was a nice kit to install and very easy to prep and paint. That is what counts. How long does it take to prep. I have a kit now from a ford focus I have beem working on for about 2 months now. Its fuckng crap. I asked the guy was he sure about this kit. I had to redo sides on front and back. The fit on this kit is CRAP. I dont work on it full time tho. Only on weekends. This kit is holding me up from mine. I dont like to start one without finishing it. I have it in black prime and ready this weekend. I had it ready a few weekends ago and dropped it off the stand only to put a whole this size of your hand in one side. Thats how crappy this kit is. The tops are as wavey as a fat ladies ass too. Thats what took me so long. Looked like sun damage on tops. oh this was a new kit he bought off web and brought to us.

An iguana bite it several times. I pulled the Extreme Dimension stickers off the inside of the kit, there were "made in mexico" stickers under them, haha.

oh now thats some good shit there...

My newest bird went wild other night for about 15mins. we thought oh shit we have a crazy bird. My 7 yr old called me into my bathroom to show me a SNAKE hanging out up by the bathroom light on the med cabinet. So I figure bird saw snake and went stupid. We was wondering wtf is this bird looking at on floor when we went to see why he was yelling his ass off. He didnt stop for about 15 mins looking steady on floor. Snake was a Gaurdner so i grabbed him and let him outside.
Ok back on thread.

Did you say you bought that kit from Sanford and Son?

Well got my kit back from the paint shop today. It looks pretty good. There are a few flaws in it though. I think I got robbed. He charged me $700. He said the paint was real expensive and he had to fill alot of holes and stuff. But I can't see anywhere he has filled. Anyhow, I ended up putting the new bumper on. This kit is just like my old one but has the back bumper now, which I forgot to take pics of. It was getting dark outside and the camera took crappy pics. But here they are.

Thanks. I do need a better camera. This camera I have, I bought back in 1998,lol. It was the top of the line back then. I think it is 1 megapixal, lol. I am going to get a canon soon. As far as the billets for the holes, I am going to leave them out for the time being. I had to rush this kit on so it will be on for today's Nopi show. So I may put them back in, but not sure.
