I have a zex kit. I installed red and black wires to power and ground respectively. Then I had the white wire which goes to the throttle position senor wire.

Can somebody please identify where this wire is at? A picture would be great, but if not possible, then the most detailed explanation ever would help

If it's the same wire that i've done the tightening mod to, it's right behind the throttle body. There's a flat metal ground with two bolts in it and out of the metal piece is a wire connected going to the firewall.

No, that's the throttle cable. Jesse, Umm, without going out and looking at mine I'm gonna have to shoot from the hip and go from memory. You need a lead coming out of the TPS. That's on the TB. It's a fat black plastic elbow that's in the center of the TB vertically speaking, and is in line with the throttle plate horizontally. Now, as to which wire you need (if there is more than one) you'll have to figure that out yourself. Just splice into it, but be sure you reconnect that wire very well. Without it your engine will run very badly if at all. If you look, you should see what I'm talking about. If not, just wait and I'm sure someone will post up a picture. But, if ZEX is a competent company (and they probably are) the wire you'll need to tap into may be white as well. Of course it could be just about any color the Mitsubishi engineers chose to use. But I think the most likely color other than white would be green. Ugh, I need to spend more time with my wiring diagrams...

There should be 4 wires going to it. At least that's what it shows in the manual. Two wires first go to Idle Air Control Motor (green/blue, and black) the other two wires are green/white and yellow/red. These two go straight to your ECU. The port #'s are A-64 and A-67. You could try those wires and see if they work.

Because the wires from the Air Control Motor split, and there's a total of 4 wires that come out of it. Their #'s are C-17, C-4, C-5, and C-18.

So if you want to check which wires are on TPS and on ECU, you don't have to run the wire inside the engine bay, but tap it in right by the ECU, less wire to use https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

so A64 and A67 are the 2 possible ones to try? Probably the green/white since it might match the white wire going to the zex unit.

Should I put the switch between the white wire from the unit and to the TPS, or should I put the switch on the power wire and leave the white wire as short as it can be?

Does it make a difference?

would it be easier to explain using the pics on my site?
This is a tutorial for the throttle mod, but it has good pics.

This was pretty helpful

I'm guessing its the connector on the left on the bottom picture that Josh linked to this thread, the connector below the yellow cirlce that Josh made.
