View Full Version : Installed Tein Basic Damper Kit

I went from running Sprint springs on stock/struts to the
Tein basic coilover kit and must I say wow! The ride is awsome
and the dampening rate feels like its just perfect and wouldn’t
even need to be changed as you know these are non-adjustable.
But anyhow it feels like a whole new car, feels like the car is
attached to the ground, I can take turns at crazy speeds. I just
can’t get over it these are well worth the money.

newguyonblock: I have no experience with the ss-ps. But from driving around on the basics for the past couple days I dont know what more you could ask for. They are awsome!

2000+ eclipse ones fit right? any one specific? or na.. every one the same

Yep 00+ eclipse ones fit, everyones the same wether for i4 or v6.Although On the site above it says Tein basic 00+ V6 Kit. And to confirm that its for either application the Tein manual I got said for 00+ Eclipse.

ok but u said the Basics werent adjustable right? are adjustables better or is that up to users choice? but im still kinda leaning towards the basics(cheaper)

Correct the basics will let you adjust height from 1.7-2.6in But
will not allow you to adjust the dampening rate. The Tein SS kit .
has 15 levels to choose and the level you set it at would be
personal preference. But like I said the level that the Basics
are set at seem perfect in my opinion even if I had the choice to
adjust I think I would leave them where they are honestly.
