you're gonna love the sound man. that is with any filter. enjoy, but don't be too accelerator friendly, or else you will find yourself at the gas pump more often. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

Quick question. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif What does yours sound like? I just got a JDM Filter and MAF adapter from ebay, pretty nice looking too. The wierd thing is, it is similar to a double cone filter. The kind with another woven filter in the middle. Instead though there is a very fine steel mesh on the front of it and it sort of whistles but you can faintly hear some kind of sucking air sound... The whistling sound is more pronounced between gear shifts. I hear the injen intakes "scream". So back to my original question... what do your intakes sound like?

I had the blitz version, it does sound mean louder then my exhaust, you can just hear it sucking up all the air. I had to take my off because for some reason my rpm where everywhere while i was idle and i guess it was too much air for the maf to compute it. once i took it off and put my stock air box back on everything was kosher. But i do miss the sound and i was at the gas pump more often with it on.

Man it sounds like an old BMW, you know that low growl that the old 5 series used to have. Sweeeeeeeet!!!!!!!
The only problem now is that when I move off from a stop w/someone beside me they think that I'm racing them. It funny as hell https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

The paranoia that everyone wants to race you isn't real...we have all experienced it, but it's all in your head. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

Gah, now I really want my filter to come in the mail....noises make me happy, especially engines.

It is interesting when other people think you're trying to race them, quite the scene....seeing a soccer mom punch it in her windstar, or a hick burnin oil in his pickup...

^those are the times I enjoy doing a quick driveby in the right lane 1/2 a mile up the road (or is that just me...)

BAH mine isn't that loud at all https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

I do enjoy hearing the sound but it's only when Im driving that it makes the sound, besides the idle sucking which I can barely hear, and it does make a cool sound when I turn off the engine, "Exhailing" I call it https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

Im going to try a different filter and see if I get different results.
