i was told the stabilizer bar bushing can make a clanking sound when you take off or stop.....is it true because i have this problem....could it be something else....thanks

You sure its not the strut boot? I had to same problem in the back passenger wheel. I would here a clanking sound everytime I went over a bump.

It turns out the boot was ripped and the spring would hit the strut mount whenever I went over a bump.

This is how it looked after I replaced it.

How many miles on your car? Stock suspension or aftermarket? Have you or has anyone else worked on the suspension recently?

The sway bar bushings are rubber, so they won't make noise, but if they are worn, the sway bar itself could be clanking on something.

i jus installed tein s. techs and new kyb with all new rubber mounts stoppers etc....so i know for sure its not the stuts...so im pretty sure ur right danger danj........thanks
