Everything was fine the other day till I stoped at a stop sign on my way home. When I pulled off from the stop my car had a hard time shifting from 1st to 2nd gear the RPM's went up real high then the car jurked real hard. I was able to get home but when I tried to back it out to take it to the shop it would not move. If I put it in D it will go but I am facing a wall, and like I said in R it won't move the RPM's go up but its like the car is in P or N. Someone told me I needed to get the transmission flushed, but I think its worse than that. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif

That's not a good sign. My advise DO NOT GO TO AAMCO

For the money they'd charge you could do a 5 speed swap.

Take it to a local shop, they'll do just as good a job for a hell of a lot less. Try not to pay over 1300 if you have to have a shop do it. You'd be better off buying bronx's tranny and have a shop put it in.

But in my experience it sounds like the tranny is shot. I've had two rebuilt, in a span of 6 years, and went to aamco both times. Then i read up on trannies and realized what had happened.... :BGR:

I only had around $7xx +or- in my parts. I could have got an OEM flywheel for $50 and generic clutch for less than $100. So yeah you can def do it for less than 1g.
