starter problems

Man i noticed where the 8g starter are placed and ive been through 2 starters in 9 months, it is placed right above the exhaust. Now do alot of you with 8 gen have this sorta prob, or do you have heat gaurds over starters? Its really making me madd i keep replacing it. Just want some feed back

i dunno man had my g for 4 years now its a 2000 es and no problems wit my starter (knock on wood)
