JDM Bulb question

I have 3rd gen jdm tails. What kind of bulb is the turn signal? It looks similar to the front ones(1157) but im not sure. Also, what type of bulb is the reverse lights? I wanna change them all to hyper white, just don't know what to look for. :?: :?: :?:

i had the same situation.. if you have a jdm harness.. the bulb is 7507 for the turn signal. If you look at the old amber bulb.. the pin should be off:

I forget what the reverse lights are. Hope this helps.

The reverse lights are 7440 single filament bulbs. The brake/parking lights are 7443 dual filament bulbs.

i have the 2nd gen jdm tails and came with some jdm harness... here are the pics of the connectors.. how would i instal them?

what I did was I tapped them to my usdm harness. If I remember right, I put the two jdm brake wires together and tapped them to the usdm brake wires..then the jdm signal and reverse wires connects to the usdm wires directly. you will know what I mean when you actually try doing it.

so basically cut the white part connector(as shown in the pic) and just play with the wires and will work?

yeah :!: have some faith with yourself. basically, the jdm tails has 4 wires and the usdm has 3. put the 2 jdm brake wires together so it becomes one and then connect it to the usdm brake wire....don't forget to wrap them with electrical tape

ok i tryied to dothis.. but.. i have total 5 wires going to the white conector... as shown in the pic.. 2 bulbs have 2 wires going and other 2 bulbs have 3 wires going in them.. lost!!!

you know whats weird, my 3rd gen jdms only have 3 bulbs. they came like that...one of the openings for the bulb was sealed off. My lights run off a 3 bulb setup. the junk thing is that the inner brake lights don't function...because that hole is sealed off for some reason. Can anybody tell me why my lights are like this?

That's not the first I've heard of that. I forget why that is. I think it's because they are from a different market other than Japan.

you got 4 bulbs.

turn signal in the big clear on the bottom. thats 2 wires. ground and +
reverse in the smaller clear area. thats 2 wires. ground and +

and then the 2 bulbs with the 3 wires are parking/brake lamps. 1 wire is the common ground, 1 wire is the parking light + and the other wire is the brake lamp +

so 5 wires.
common ground.
turn signal +
parking +
reverse +
and brake +

just like the usdm wiring. 5 wires.

so just connect the usdm wires to the specific wires of the jdm ?,, does nay one has a list of what color to join which one..
