camry, civic, altima, and accord. was like $1-2k away from getting the 2005 accord coupe. decided to save $8k and get the 2003 G. wish i got the 2001 model tho...

What led me to the Galant was looking at Evo V's .. I'm not exactly sure how I found the Galant through that, though.

01 Altima, Accord, Camry. They all rode like poo! The handling was much better in the G, so I bought it. Of course, looking back, I kinda wish I never traded in my Integra. It would have been paid off a long time ago, and all the extra money could be getting dumped into mods. Oh well, one year to go on the G.

I didn't really know what I wanted in a car. Well, I did but my parents weren't too keen on them...I wanted a 2-door quick car (I would have killed for a 300zx), they wanted a 4 door sedan, conservative, reliable that I could hand down to my sister (even though the car was a gift for me...double dippers). I liked the styling of the Galants that we saw at Carmax and places like that, but I finally decided on the G when I found one with 35k miles, decent condition, wheels, lowered and partial body kit (what was there was pretty f-ed up). So I took it off of his hands for 6500 cash, got the rest of the kit on, crashed into a tire, blamed the kit damage on that, insurance fixed everything up and I had a sick car for $6600 ($100 deductible https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif). To cover myself, the crash into the tire was by no means intentional...in fact I was about to explode when it happened- I had no idea if insurance would cover the (destroyed) front bumper. I suppose it was a good compromise, though I now regret picking up a 6cyl instead of an i4, and I think if I had shopped around a little bit more I could have coaxed the 'rents into letting me get a better car, but I'm happy with it for now and we found a good compromise in it...especially since my sister will never lay hands on the Gs steering wheel.

I wasn't too high on the Jetta and wanted the Accord, but the price for the Accord was too high. The dealership wasn't going to budge one bit on the sticker price and wanted 8.9% for financing. Funk That! I got the Galant for alot cheaper with only 0.9% financing. I ended up only paying about $300 in interest.
