I would like to cover up the two holes in the front bumper under the parking lights. I was wondering if I could use fiberglass and bondo to make the mod. If not is there something else I could use. I used a photo editing program to see how it looks and I really like it. I would put them on the site but not sure how to add photos.

It the foglight holes. They make covers for them to blend with the bumper.

Can they be covered using fiberglass?

Great, thank you. Didn't want to take a chance on sanding down the bumper and then finding the fiberglass won't stick to it. Can you tell me how I could submit a jpeg to show how it would look for others to see. Then when I complete it will send the finished pics.
Thanks again for your quick response.

you mean covering the foglight holes on your front bumper? I assume it will stick to the plastic. it's my understanding thoughfiberglass wont stick to eurethane because if it flexes then the fiberglass will just crack away but if it's the bumper and it's afixed and wont be moving I dont see why it wouldn't you might wanna call a local body shop just to be sure

I'd suggest building an insert, like on the STi, that would look best. If you dont want to do that use Everglass to cover it, that will stick to the bumper material best.

why would u do that?
you'd just be blocking off the air=bad

On my Galant it has these inserts that are in place of the foglights, and blend perfectly with the bumper and don't look bad at all.

Are the inserts something that you purchased? If so, where did you get them and do you have a picture of what it looks like?

I think I found a way to display a picture of the proposed mod to the bumper. Check it out on Car Domain, the 2nd picture in the group.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/425201/1

fiberglass wont stick to any plastic very well, only way it would work "ok" is to penetrate whatever you are glassing by making a bunch of holes in the area you are glassing and make sure the resin seaps through...then glass the back<hope thaat helps

check your local mitsu dealer for the inserts.

I just did. They said they only had them through 96. What year is yours?

if you have a 7 gen galant, it should fit the same for 94-96 or 97-98

My car is a '96 so if you have a 94-96 you have the same bumper as a 96.

97-98 front bumpers didnt have the inserts, only 94-96.

A picture of it with the fog light holes covered up can be found at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/425201/1 ('http://www.cardomain.com/ride/425201/1'). It's the second picture in the set. I think I will leave it like it is. I checked with my local body and fender shop and they said it would eventually crack on me. Also the hood scoop is a Lund scoop. Found it on the Internet searching for Mitsubishi hood scoops. It is not functional. Just for looks.

Now you just need to swap or turbo your engine and a TMIC. Now that, my friend, is originality!
Where function and fashion come together.

I took the turn signals out of my 97/98 bumper and rewired them to the corners(JDM). I like it https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif
