Well finally after months of things getting in my way I have dropped my car of at Ripp Mods in Staten Island, NY to be the test car for the 4cyl supercharger!

I'm excited, I met Ross Esposito, hes a cool guy, mechanical engineer this guy knows his stuff, he was showing tons and tons of magazine articles and the concept behind his supercharged setups. I used to be a turbo man myself but I think superchargers are the way to go.

If you guys go to store that sells magazines be sure to pick up the lastest issue of "Turbo Magazine" there is this big article on him and his performance center. Its the magazine with a blue Lexus Is300 on the cover.
Ross Espositio was showing me his 400hp Dodge Stratus!!! He was telling me and my friend about how he was hanging with an M3 on the parkway going to Atlantic City! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

Being the test car for the supercharger means good shit for us 4cyl guys because that means a kit can be produced for us finally!!
There is one for the v6 but none for the I-4 but, this changes everything. He said he can get 100hp out this kit and 88hp being the least. Shit I would be happy with 88hp but 100 extra hp is even better!!! I just thought I would share this info with the TGC family. Im fucking anxious I want my car to be done so I can show this set up off. He said I would be the first Galant I-4 to get this done. Wish me luck guys!

He mentioned your car GTZ27! and I asked him about it and he said hes got high expectations for it. But it wont be done by October 12 bro, sorry  I know you were talking about going to the car show but its not done yet.

Well I keep you guys posted on the outcome! :peace:

Damn, bro good job on the SC for the I-4's.. If he thinks he can pull anywhere between 88-100hp, out that kit, that would be the shiznit.. If i could get it, i could be doing easily 11sec 1/4 times by early next year... Did he have a apprx of how long it would take to develope or any prices of it?

He said it would take a month to finish my car, hes only charging me 2500 because Im the test car, and Im only paying for parts it comes with an HKS blow-off-valve and a alot of other goodies! He said the kit should be around 3k!
I have to drive the back up car 1998 dodge neon until my car is done! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif But he needs to find headers for my car. Maybe I can find it for him, I really wanna know whats going on with that group buy on headers because I remember there was talk about headers. Does anyone know if they are still selling them for the 4cyl?

did you say 3k for the kit. is that just for the test Galant (Yours) or is that going to be for the kit when they start manufacturing them? Hace ou checked out the RPW headers?

Excellent news. I got the turbo mag and it sounds like a really good shop. Are you going to get it on a dyno when your done.

Not to keep you car in the shop longer but while they have your car they might as well start looking at producing some headers.
The headers will probably run you about 5 and some change from RPW with coating for that nice clean shine.

ya bro do a dyno before and after (little late for the before part) so the rest of us know what the numbers are like on this sucker and how much you gain!

here is the page for rpw CLICK ME ('http://www.rpw.com.au/') You May just want to talk to Matt or Todd at VisionImports.com to see if they have any in stock. if they do it would be easier to get it from them the to wait til they come from Australia first.

yup...i dropped my car off this past saturday. i saw your G-ride there in the shop. good luck. I was really impressed with his shop, unfortunately i was not able to meet Ross, he has some problems at his house. But i did meet Cody who is cool as shit. hopefully my car will be ready this saturday the 19th. and unfortunately i am spended mad $$$$ that i really dont have. about 6K when all is said and done. I got a few extras:

NGK wires
NGK plugs
Tranny cooler
Gauges: air/fuel/boost/Tranny temp

what are you doing about your tranny? do you have any concerns about it??

let me know how it goes? where are you from galantT3? nice ride

Thanks GTZ27, Im from Somerset, NJ, its by Rutgers University New Brunswick. He said not to worry about the tranny because unlike the Eclipse, the Galant comes with a transmisson cooling system and cooler lines. But I think probably this summer when I have the money, Im going to get that kit from level ten that makes the transmission stronger or I might save up the money and try and do a swap with the 3G eclipse. I dont know right now its all about the money for me! So I will have to wait and see good luck with your kit. Did he tell you how much hp you can expect to gain and what are you going to do about the transmission????

first of all, congratulations galantT3.......
it is relly coool - Supercharged l-4......
I'm sure 88 or 100 more hp will make you love your g-ride even more...
i like turbos better than supercharger (because of the power possibilities =more boost=more power) but I think think this is really original project- supercharged 4 cyl galant!
good luck to you, and keep us uptaded...

The headers are in stock with Vision Imports now and do fit up correctly so definitly speak to Tim / Matt at vision about the headers. They woudl work extremely well with teh supercharger as there logn pipe design woudl completement the flow of the supercharger perfectly.

I would definitly be interested to see the results. The galant guy's have it fgood at the moment

DJ Galant--FYI the V5 trim vortech supercharger is more than capable of pushing really high boost---just keep in mind that our stock internals are not safe to run higher than 6psi. someone on the 3G board blew his engine running higher than 6. so basically the statement that turbo can run higher boost really isnt valid with our cars since we cant handly high boost anyways.

but if you want re-build the internals, the sc would be more than sufficient to run really high boost. if you have any questions just take to Ross at RIPP. he can explain everything to you

GTZ27 don't forget that there isn't really a need to run high boost on a supercharger cuase as of now it would be kinda useless, i mean with the supercharger on low boost, people are already having traction problems and trouble keeping that power planted to the ground...its kinda useless to have 400 hp and not be able to use it cuase all it does is spin the tires in a nice lil burnout

Thanks everyone for the info on the RPW headers. I told Ross about them and he said he wants to try and get 88-100hp from the stock engine first and then once that is accomplished then use the headers, catback, etc. for more hp!!! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

I cant wait until its done!! He said that he will start to email pictures of the progress, so I'll keep you guys posted! I miss my Galant though, a month is a long time, but its worth it! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

For now I'll have to make due with the 1998 Dodge Neon!!!! https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif
