End link. Do I get a cookie? PITA to remove, but yes it does go on that post. But from the picture the end link looks to be broken. My end link, the bolt is part of the endlink.

Why wouldn't you get it fixed? The end link connects your front sway bar. It's a pretty important part of your suspension.

WOW danj i didnt say i wasnt going to fix it. i just truely didnt know what it was or what does it do. thats y i asked a question. anyways is it hard to replace or do i have to send it to the shop? so it does do something to the suspension huh? any more details you can give me danj on the suspension thing i will be thankful.

It connects the sway bar to the front fork(7g), probably similar to the 8g.

Looks like it connects it directly to the strut assembly on 8gs. Definitely get it replaced. Its not to hard to do yourself. Just that the nut on both sides of the endlink will not come off unless you put a wrench between the endline and the bracket to hold it. Hard to explain, not too hard to do.

it's actually called the stabilizer bar or link.... not end link, but it doesconnect to the sway bar assembly and helps the strut assembly with lateral movement, it helps the strut while you are turning and takes some of the pressure off... right after i dropped my car, both of the fronts on my car snapped...and they aren't too hard to fix... i just got 2 new ones and bolted them on

they're pretty much the only thing that would come to mind when you say "link" and it has to do with the suspension anyway.... either way is fine, i could snap a pic for you if you like... i still have a spare one in the wrapper in my trunk (my spare parts bin, inside the spare's wheel well), i could dig it out...

Hey, what was that WOW for? https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif I didn't mean to offend you, but I thought you might be serious about not fixing the end link.

Birdman, that piece isn't a stabilzer bar, a stabilzer bar is the same as the sway bar.

If you live in an area that gets lots of snow, it might be a real pain getting the nuts off. When I replaced my rear sway bar with the Addco one, the rear end links were all rusted up and I ended up stripping out the tips where you need to use an allen wrench. So, I had to cut the end links off and get some new ones. The new ones were easy to install though.

You know, I've heard of quite a few people having problems with the front sway bar rattling and the end links breaking. I just searched and found this complaint: Click Here ('http://www.mitsubishisucks.com/cars/complaints/data/1006/10067940.html')
