replacing entire grill...

have any of u considered/or actually took out the stock OEM grill piece(the chrome piece) and juss put mesh in instead? cuz i have mesh behind the stock piece, but i was playin around wit the car today and i took it out, and without the grill i thought it looked a lot meaner and aggressive. any thoughts/pics/suggestions?

i tried that before when i was modding my chrome grille. i dunno. personally i didn't like it. it just looked like a big hole between the headlights.
