Hello guys!
Having a problem here.
Any help would be great.....

I have a 99 I4 Galant

When I am driving, (stop and go) I hear a knocking sound, klonk clonk sound.
Hit the brakes I hear it...
Hit the gas I hear it...
If I turn the steering wheel, I hear it..
It is very loud, and it sounds bad....

When I'm driving on the high way around 55+ and I use my brakes to slow down, the front end of the car shakes very badly.

I have spent the whole morning reading the forum.
I believe the problem is..

TT-44-31-001 - January, 1999
Wheel Balance Concerns/Steering Wheel Vibration Update - 1999 Galant. Thank you to all technicians who sent in TCS Quality Reports on wheel balancing difficulties and steering wheel vibration. As a result, improved lower control arm bushings are installed in vehicle production since 11/9/98. And the new bushings (p/n MR455736) are available to eliminate steering wheel shimmy when braking or driving over 65 mph. Refer to TSB-99-33A-001, issued this month.

TSB-99-33A-001REV - July, 1999
PURPOSE
This bulletin describes appropriate diagnosis and repair for steering wheel shimmy and brake judder.

Q1.
AFFECTED VEHICLES
1999 Galant models equipped with 2.4L engine produced before 11/9/98 (VIN XE067461)

my Vin ends with XE0624XX Does that mean my Galant qualifies?
I hope SO! Because I can tell that it will COST a lot to get it fix if it's not covered.

Q2.
If my car is indeed covered.
What if the Mits dealership gives me the run around and make up excuses so that they won't have to fix it.
What can I do?

Q3.
If my car is not covered, what is the cheapest way to get it fixed?
At the dealer?
Buy the parts needed and use a local mechanic?

Thank you all!
I know its a long post..
But I try to give as much detail as possible...

The dealer should fix it no problem.

Worn control arm bushings can cause that noise also.

its out of warranty. Probably wont be covered.

but its probably just worn struts and / or sway links anyway.
