Blacking out 3rd Brakelight

Tomorrow morning I'm going to black out my spoiler tail light with some Niteshade tint spray.

I think 2-3 coats should get it good (I want it to match the spoiler, but still light up well)

I've got black altezzas (which I was also considering to slightly darken. But I'll take the red lens off and then tint it to match my black spoiler. Should look real clean. I'll post pics tomorrow night.

Yep, that's where I got the idea. Do you think tinting the altezzas would look good? Not too dark, just 1 or 2 coats to darken them up.

i think that would look good. but what i'd be more concerned with is all the chrome in the housing. the rings around the lenses and maybe the chrome reflector in the reverse lights. darken those and i think it would look better with the theme you got going on.

hate to jump off topic but why doesn't anyone put the pantyhose on the tails anymore? I know Rod did he was the first one I saw do it. the last too come to think of it

you wasn't there at our first MAg meet when i showed every1 how to put pantyhose on their tails lol.

but yea, the reason i took mine off was cuz zappedman started selling and still is selling the smoked taillight covers

It wouldnt work on the altezzas since they are raised in a few sections....

I tried to tint my altezza's and there is a clear film on the inside of the housing when I applied the tint it bubbled and Then it pealed off.I wouldn't try this since I had to buy another set because mine got trashed.

Well, it looks great. I put about 4 coats on to make it pure black, I'll get some pics ASAP...possibly tonight.

Nice! I think if you opened up your tails and tinted the red lenses inside and painted the chrome trim black, it would look freakin' awesome!

DANJ, why you gotta mess with my flava, spoling the sweetness!! That was my next mod...I'm going monochromatic baby!!! Black is always in style! I'm gonna order 2nd gen JDMs too, just in case I mess it up though....

Im guessin the tails would be like the headlights as far as takin em apart? Ive been thinkin bout doin it, but am afraid to mess up my JDMs. I wanted to do somethin to the bottom part of the tails.
