I've never heard anything bad about them, just put longer studs in and you'll be fine. I looked at getting them when I was gonna put EVO 8 brakes on my G, but I had to put 1 1/2 inch spacers in to clear my rims, and thus require fender flares or a widebody, or new rims. Cali had about 2mm of clearance with his rims, w/o a spacer I think.

Spacer's are very common and I don't think there is anything wrong or risky using them as long as you match them with the right hardware. Like you said, getting longer studs to compensate. I actually use spacer's for my rims, but didn't need longer studs. Kind of a pain in the ass removing them when I swap rims is the only thing.

no you don't.. it matters if you are going with bigger brakes (hence the Evo setup like what censee, cali, and I are goin through) other than that no you don't need them.. unless you want to give your ride a wider stance then ya..

na he has 20mm spacers as well...he also told me that as long as i get longer studs and the spacer is hubcentric,,,which has a spot in the center for the spacer to sit on the hub too then it should be fine..ive just heard of studs snapping on people,,but most of the people ive talked to that happeneing are just running non hubcentric spacer,,that u buy for like 30 bux at pep boys or autozone and didnt change out their studs..ill see how it goes..thanks for the help fellas
