i hav a discount tire card so im trying to find some good wheels that i can get from there and today i came across these. I just need to know if the stats will fit good on a Galant. i dont know what the backspacing is but on the stats it says 30S but i dont kno wut thats supposed to mean. Wut is the proper backspacing for a 19x8 wheel and will they go on with no problems? heres the link:

konig doesn't make that wheel in 19" silver that has an offset that will fit your car. they make a 19x8 with a 40 offset but thats in bronze. and they make a silver one with the 40 offset but its too wide as a 19x9. the 30 offset is just too low for your car.

apparently discount tires says that these wheels will fit and they make it in the size, but i don't know about that 30 offset they might stick out a little, its only 12MM so it might not be that much of a difference.

Now, Alan you do know that discount tires get wheels that might not be sold anywhere else but their store

i went to the konig website and thats how i knew about hte offsets and the colors and sizes.

and apparently konig says it fits also.

http://www.tiredex.com/konig/app_guide_res...alant&B1=Submit ('http://www.tiredex.com/konig/app_guide_results.php?year=2000&make=Mitsubishi&model=Galant&B1=Submit')

but it also says other wheels, some with like 18mm offset fit our cars too.

fitment is one thing but rubbing or the wheel sticking out is another.

companies will tell u anything,,al they wanna do is sell....even if ure wheels stick out like 3-4 inches out your car.....i had a set of chrome wheels aloong time ago,,which were 18x9 or some crazy size like that,,,,,i didnt know too much about offsets and all that,,all i asked was "can i get these in 18s..and find out iof they fit" and the company said yes,,..even the manufacturer said they fit...but they fit horribly

fitment or not, i'd stay away from konigs....the finish will start flakin off in about 4 months....and they bend like aluminum foil....they make some nice lookin rims...but shit quality

true indeed...been there(at the factory in the Philippines where they make Konig, or should I say Rota? https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif ) done that (have a set of 18's Racing Hart cp-035 aka Rota) and they don't bend as easily but paint quality's bad. Don't pay more than $400 for a set of "Konig".

i bent 5 of of the 6 KONIG rims i used to have. buy forged rims from a good company and you will b much happier.

thanks guys you helped me change my mind. im still looking and i found these NE-O PX-5 they hav a 45mm offset which is close to the 8g's but ive never heard of them. would these be just as bad a choice, ive seen someone on tgc with these rims and i just want something nice the streets arent too bad in texas but i dont want to spend a fortune on forged wheels. what do u guys think, is this the replacement for exel?
