View Full Version : What's your ground clearance?

So I got the G out of the shop a week ago and now have the VR4 lip kit installed. It looks pretty damn good and am happy with the results. Before I took the car in I raised my Tein's about an inch because I knew the kit would make me even lower. I got it back and everything looks good except where the front lip dips down right in front of the tires. The front itself is about 5.5" off the ground, but in front of the tire is about 4". I'm real nervous about hurtin this thing and having to take it back in for repair and all that jazz. I am contemplating raising it another inch to compensate for the sides. So I was curious what most of your clearances are and how its workin for you. I like the look I have in the wheel well too. About a finger between the tire and fender and a lil less in the rear. So let me know, thanks.

I will post pics as soon as I get a chance. Its the same kit Rod had from erac1ngs and just sold, the lip kit. I think I'm going to have to suck it up and be a 4X4 too and raise it another inch. The rear is fine, but if I raise the front, I'll have to raise the rear or it'll look funny as hell. I'm glad I have coilovers and can do this although it does take a while to measure and make sure all sides are even and I'm too lazy to take the tire off over and over again https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

I am at 4.5" at my lowest point, which is not the front kit, but rather the sideskirt right behind the front wheels. Always hittin speedbumps there. WARNING!!! make sure your car is good mechanically, you DO NOT want to have to be towed...

ditto, side skirts are lowest for me too. my front bumper is actually about 6.5-7" off the ground

mine is pretty low especially in the rear, i always hit in the rear before the rear tires hit when it comes to more than average bumps, cuz i got the tein basics for an eclipse instead of a galant...

Ithe sideskirt right behind the front wheels. Always hittin speedbumps there. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/6/web/642000-642999/642564_61_full.jpg
Thats because that extra lip that goes under the door can be trimmed so the sideskirt will fit more flush..and sit a little mroe even with the kit.. 8)
see how ur sideskirts got like an extra lip... mine sit more in there..
