Back in December i ran into the back of some bimbo who changed her mind at a stop light. Her car didnt even have one scratch. I had my front bumper cracked in half and my hood jammed shut. None the less ive finally convinced my grand parents to claim the accident on their insurance so i can get the body work done. Now i got the estimate yesterday and its $1780 (including labor). And i believe these are OEM parts (Driver side Headlight, Front Bumper, 03 Grilles). My question was should i just get an Aftermarket body kit installed now? Or wait later? And which company makes a body kit for the 8G that fits relatively easy? Ive heard of some guys complaining bout how Erebuni kits dont fit too well and require some sorta modifications. Lemme know what you guys think. :?

Yeh looks like ima decide to get it done. The guy is chargin $1780 Labor included. The way i see it, i might be able to save a couple hundred if i use an Aftermarket kit as compared to OEM. One big thing that was stoppin me was the fact that winter is coming soon. I live in Albany, NY. Winters out here can be brutal. Would i have to worry about any ground clearance issues in heavy snow?

Here are some of the kits im thinkin bout...

Im startin to think that the Black Widow kit for the 8G might actually be legite. Ive seen em before on EBay. But this one is actually from a manufacturer. :?

Im thinkin bout gettin the car repainted to. I was definitely lookin at a 2tone color scheme. I think thatd really look off da chainz. I originally wanted a Red/Black 2Tone job...but ive seen it done on someone elses Galant. So i think i might go with a Maroon Pearl and Off white pearl. Even Black and Yellow would look good. Maybe someone can photoshop it for me?

I say your at least a grand short. all that "modifications" on kits is what adds up $$ just to warn ya so your aren't in shock when you go and talk to your bodyman about the kit and stuff.... and they ALL need it in some form or another. i think the expense your overlooking is the labor to install prep and take care of all the modifications kits need. I say closer to around $3000 for everything but it would be a good time to do it since you replacing the front and hood anyways.

I haven't seen or heard anyone have one on here (not to say nobody has it) but I thought from the first time I seen it on ebay 6 months or so ago that it looked shady. The clearance is ridiculously low.. so yes you would be plowing in Albany no doubt and scraping the shit out of it with that front bump. overall I stay away from the "black widow" kit... unless the company can supply some close up pics of the fitment of the front. which I doubt very much will ever happen. 8)
