i just got the aem cam gear, i was wondering how much HP/TQ i should expect?

we can tune your car at the shop... we have a dyno... https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif .. i dont do that tho..that would be one of the other guys at the shop.. think its like.. 60 bucks or somethin like that.. i'll find out for ya..

you might want to look more into this... cam gears aren't a simple bolt on... There's a couple of threads explaining this... i'll look some up for ya in a minute

You wont see as big of a gain with an adj cam gear without a more aggressive cam. You can install it and set the gear to 0 and you will be fine, no more power then stock, but you can drive like that untill you can afford to get it tuned right.

There are two ways to tune an adj cam gear, either on the dyno or you can degree it with the correct tools(see the Link ('http://www.automotivearticles.com/123/Degreeing_Camshafts.shtml')). Obviously tuning on the dyno is less complicated then manually degreeing your cams. But you have options, a reputable shop should be able to do it both ways.

BTW, if you are not FI or heavily modded NA, you probably will not see many gains with the gear. Also being stock you will suffer on either the high end or lower end powerband as SOHC cars can only tune for one or the other with an adj cam gear.

i have a turbo so and im also runing rich so i figure it needs to be advanced, but ill get it dyno tuned to make sure i dont mess anything up.

If you are running rich, you should correct it by leaning out the SAFC if your running one :wink:

ive ordered the e-manage so that will take care of it some-what.
