oko so i had two blue neon tubes in my car...one under the glove box and one under the steering wheel. they faded out and plus i changed my color scheme to black and red, not blue. so i ordered two red LED tubes, my question is can i juss cut the ends of the wires of the old neon tubes and splice them together wit the wires for the LED tubes so i dont have to rewire everything...

same voltage = yes

if the voltage in the wires you want to splice is the same voltage as the voltage for the led tubes you can just splice.

but if your neons have an external transformer and the voltage running through the wires isn't the same voltage as the one for the led tubes then no you can't just splice.

ok, but now how do i find out wut the voltage is on the old neon tubes?

well first of all. the power source for the neons. the wire going to the neons. is that hooked up to a an external transformer or to just a plain 12v source.

a voltmeter would be another option.

there is no external transformer, the wires are juss goin to the switch and the wires from the switch go straight to the source..

then its 12v
