Loss of acceleration...
a smell of raw eggs in the cabin...

Dont be an ass, it was a typo.

As for a bad cat. You will likely hear a rattling in the exhaust from the "honeycomb" breaking apart (see pics) A few other indications:

1 Markedly decreased low rpm power,
2 Engine runs a little hotter than normal at constant cruising speeds,
3 Exhaust leaks near header that won't seal in spite of new gaskets,
4 Bucking or hesitation while accelerating,
5 Cat's exterior surface temp cooler near outlet.

when i drilled a hole and then beat out the cat on my broncoII a bunch of those chunks by UGLY came out
