locking gas caps

Gas prices are insane and its risky out there. Could anyone tell me where i could find a locking gas cap for g?

If you can't find a gas cap with a lock, i suppose you could drill a hole in you gas tank door and make a lock that way.

Every gas cap at my job was sold out off the shelf, its a waste of money because the way they make the gas tanks nowadays there is no way for someone to siphon gas out from there. Maybe the older 80's cars need em but not our G's

Back when I had both an 8g I4, and the 8g V6, I had to pay my way through college, par car insurance on two cars and travel about 40 miles a day when going to school and back. It was really expensive https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif in anycase I was going to take a nap, and just before I fall asleep my father asks for my gas card to fill up my car. Being really embarrased about this... I decide im going to syphon some gas from the I4 which was sitting in a garage at the time.. lol. u speak as if u had experience siphoning gas from other cars before.

anyway, dont get the locking gas cap from autozone. i got it and it made me throw codes no matter how hard i tightened it. try the pepboys one.

Ya ive tried to siphon gas from my dads G35 (91 just like the V6) to no avail. Pretty worthless.

But the main reason I would get a locking gas cap is due to vandalism. About two years ago my car was vandalised by my prom date. She was nice enough to dump quite a bit of sugar into the tank. Well $4,000 in damages later my car had a whole new fuel system and what not (in retrospect it would have been cheaper to just get a new engine).

hey don't mean to burst your bubbles guys.. but a locking gas cap won't help you out.. I mean it would slow them down.. but if some was that desperate they would drill/puncture a hole under your car and steal your gas that way.. so don't think a locking gas cap would help solve anything... just my .02
