do you have pics? so what ur saying is that 4-2-1 header has almost the same design? cause thinking of running headers on mine. got my cat kit but i want to put it in all together. also one more question, the sensors underneath (exhaust piping) do you have any idea where they are? do you have pics too? i know you're the only one who always have the answers so i'll go to you. thanks.

first of all. tri y headers are 4-2-1 headers.

the big difference is that on a normal header, cylinders 1 and 4 are paired up and 2 and 3 are paired up.

on a tri-y header, cylinders one and two are paired and three and 4 paired

but yea. to my knowledge there isn't a company that produces the tri-y design for your platform. i've seen the 4-2-1 like those dc sports and the 4-1 from other brands like rpw and kamikaze

So by running 1-2 and 3-4 does this increase performance or does it even matter? whats the difference?

oh i was gonna get it custom made. i just wanted to find out if it looked exactly like the 4-2-1. so you say they pair 1,2 and 3,4. but aren't those opposites? wow... how bout them sensors do you have a diagram? thanks.

was looking at old posts and there is some mis information on this post. the dc sports header is tri-y, aka 4-2-1. if you look closely at the pic, 2+3 are paired and 1+4 are paired. and then they both come together at the end.

pairing 1+2, 3+4 would make no sense. because as one cylinder's gases escape, it would interfere with the next cylinders exit.

Do u want single or duals; I have a 4" round Magnaflow muffler that replaced the resonator, Y and dual 2.25" exhaust pipe. Its sounds good, no high pitched BS just a nice mellow, yet noticeable, rumble at idle and a tuned sound all the way to redline. I think if you were to go with 2.5" all the way it would sound good.
