Hello....

the tyre is 235/45/R17...a little worried.. might be too wide? rubbing?
tyre shops been recommending 215/45/R17 ...
The 7Gs have a tyre weight index of 87.

my 7G is stock height....maybe plan to lower in future.

cheers...

215/40/17 are the biggest tires you can fit. 235s probably go on 8" or 9" wide wheels. and yes, the 7 does refer to the width.

WITH

235/45/17 TYRES 70% TREAD

MINOR GUTTER MARKS

100 AND 114 PCD

45 series are thick tires... are you sure you want your tires to be so tall... those might rub... cuzz biggest size on 7g is 18's rite? im pretty sure thats with low series tires like a 25 or 30.... if I was you id just buy the wheels and get your tires somewhere else if you really like the wheels... or get the set then sell the tires and get what you want...

45 series tires are not too tall as long as you aren't dropped. I had 45 series tires with my 17s a while back. After that I got 18s with a 35 series tire. Those are far to wide though, like Peano said 215 is where you want to be.

thanks guys.

ok i'll aim for the 215/45/R17 tyre. there are some nankang NS-2s in for a good deal...havent heard badly of these tyres. besides my car is only 110kw anyhow. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif
after what i've read above..if i'm to lower the car with 45s on it'll rub?
am i better off with 40s if i wish to lower in future ?

i'm lowered with the pro-kit, and there's about a good inch of clearance before the tires will hit the suspension. as for doing u-turns and such, you might rub with 45s though. isn't there somone on here lowered with 18s on a 7G?
