Anyone know where i can find some really thick mesh? Now I'm not talking about the home-depot chicken wire. More along the lines of the stuff that BMW 330s have on the bumper:

Its damn near a half inch deep/thick (i.e. on the z-axis). Basicly I need a strong grill.

Thanks.

Have you checked the junk yard?

I found some grills off of a pontiac sunfire that is similar to what you are looking for - that particular car might not work for the 99-01 grilles as it just fits for the 02-03:

I also ordered some "aluminum hexagon honeycomb mesh" from e-bay that looks pretty similar to some from the link pinoyesv6 listed:

The e-bay mesh is pretty stiff/strong.

I used expanded aluminum for my body kit/grill and hood. The shit is solid, but bendable with some work. You can also paint and clear coat it and it would last. There's all different sizes of openings too so you can pick to your liking. You can find it at most metal shops. Just call around and see what they have. Some have round, some hex, theres all types out there.
