I noticed while driving that my needle suddenly jumps, like if im goin 45, it will jump to 57 and jump back down.. pretty weird dont know where thats coming from.. any one else ever had that?

do you have aftermarket gauge faces?? many times the face tends to pop out just a tad and the needle would get caught.

no the gauge is stock..

Yeah, I have this problem too. I've never seen it jump more than 10 mph. My gauges are stock, and I've never removed the dash.

back from the dead.. but the problem persists.. what could it be?

Open up the gauge cluster and pull out the needle just a bit and see what happens. It is probably stickin to the gauges.
I had the same problem with my old gauges. After Installing my S7's last week it has been flawless.

Sometimes Mitsubishi gauges get jumpy. Have seen it in a couple of cars with no aftermarket gauges or anything installed. My buddies 3000GT the needle doesnt start moving until like 40 mph. Its pretty messed up.
