Are your tires loud while driving over 30 mph?? I noticed that my tires are really loud inside the car when I'm driving over 30 mph. I know its not my exhaust becausei put the car in neutral and reve the engine and still the annoying nosie. I have the gtz stock wheels and tires on. Im going to get rims but not till the spring. So I have to deal with it over the winter or maybe someone has a suggestion on what to do? https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

i wouldnt say it was my tires, but i used to get that ground noise coming from the wheel ara. i started using that undercoat dampening, and havent had problems since. it only cost about $4 a bottle (somewhat generic brand) and you can get it autozone or even walmart. the popular brands of course will cost a whole lot more

If your car came with the same tires mine did then yes, interior noise is significant...one of the bigger hits the Galant took during review. It's the dang Eagle LS/RS-A series tires...not to worry, the G35 uses them too https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

YES! My factory tires (Eagles) got progressively louder as the miles racked up... by 35K it was time to get some new ones! The Kumho's I got lasted only around 20K before the noise was unbearable... :x

The stock Goodyear Eagles on the GTZ alloys are noticebally filled with problems. When they get cold, the belts inside them rub and create this rubbing like noise at low speeds. And yes they are noisy. Our resident Mitsu tech, manybrews has reported that the dealers have returned piles of them to Goodyear. If you're under warranty, see your dealer.

or you could do what I do...crank up the tunes. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

Will the noise go down with low pros and new rims?

Low profile tires has nothing to do with roadnoise. It all depends on the tread design, structural design, and components used to make up the tire. Some manufacturer's go through extensive research to find ways to quite down the road noise... something like double-ply single strand circular wrapping around the steel belts and such, lol.

the eagle LS tires are the noisiest damn things ive ever heard.

they actually "creak" while rolling, and it sounds like a damn brake noise!

we gave up on trying to fix or replace these suckers a few years ago, and started sending them all to goodyear (as the tires are not technically warrantied by mitsu).

its not unsafe or anything, but it sure is irritating.
