i say do it. the price isn't bad too. if you outgrow the whole design on the hood, you can just paint the whole hood silver.

thanks for all the comments. I see what all you guys think. Got some feedback on other forums also. Got a lot of get its, got a few you need some CF accents, whether it be a decal or whatever. Got some that don't like CF hoods, and got one guy that doesn't like how it was painted. But yeah it's all on me to make the final decision, and to figure out how to get the hood back to my house, or my stock hood back to my house whichever the case maybe.

the drive is not that long right? leave your house with out the hood and if a cop stops you, you let him know that you need to pick up the hood to replace the mess up one you had to take off  you clearly can't fit it anywhere in the car.

yeah man I know. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif it's like 30 minutes or so, and I am sure with my luck I will get stopped for it, or I will have some sorta other problems. 8) I was thinking maybe strap it to the roof with a blanket under it or to find someone with a truck to get it back for me

why not swap hoods and leave your stock hood there until you can pick it up...?? don't know anyone with a pickup? i have teh strap on roof racks and i tied the hood to that and drove it from Baltimore to Allentown PA on I-95... no problems, even at higher than the limit speeds

I forget who it was, perhaps someone at one of the Mid-Atlantic meets who put a hood he picked up, inside his Galant. There was someone there to back up his story too. I'd love to have seen that in person. They said they had to drive up against the steering wheel with the hood against the back of their neck. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

go for it...that second pic screams "BUY MEEE!"

As for some carbon fiber accents as written above....do they make that section that covers the liscense plate light right above the plate on the trunk out of CF? I think that and the hood would be a nice combo...

lol... take out the back seats and unbolt the passenger seat. Should fit just fine but make sure you can get it through the doors.

yea. i remember that story. its one of the guys up here in md. forgot his name though.

if you really want to keep the hood, i suggest finding a friend with a truck to put it in.

i've also heard stories where people strapped the hoods on the roof the car and it fell off. another guy from md lol

Well I should be able to find someone with a truck, or just put it on my roof with a blanket and strap it on good. My father also offered if I can get it into the back seat of his car or strap it to the roof of his car good enough I can do that as well, as his roof is all oxidized and scratched up as it is https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

yous think this will help out with the look of the hood on my car

put the sunguard on the car temporarily to see how it would look, gotta scrape the decal off the rear of the car before I mount permanently
also pic of reflective decal over the rear emblem
