Roof racks?

Anyone have any luck finding a roof rack to fit their 6G?!

Yakima doesn't list anything for our model.

Thule does list a set but in the instructions it notes you must remove small caps in the roof strips... my doesn't seem to have those. My roof strip is solid... do I have to remove the whole thing to mount the rack?

your G doesnt have the signs for a roof rack?
what for type is it?
coult it be that on your version it wasnt put on?

Well, I also have a 6G Galant... actually 2 of them....

Both of my cars have the solid roof strips on them, but I have seen some models of Galants with the 'broken' strips on them.

I was at the local junkyard this weekend and came across one. I managed to get the roof pieces, but there was no roof rack to be found....

Ok, after some digging, I came up with (supposedly) the part number for the split roof rails that allow access to the brackets underneigth...

I've yet to have time to verify this by running by the dealer but here it is:

I'll report back if I ever make it to the parts counter.
