thoughts after owning the 9G since June 05 car reviews too:)

After owning my 05 GTS since June now, I can't tell you how much Ive grown to really love this car...... I myself is very into performance since I used to own an 03 Evo that ran 340 WHP at it's highest potential....but the path that I decided to take in my life made me realize I needed more of a practical, but yet still sporty car...I just couldn't get myself out of the SPORTINESS of a car heheheh....ANYWAY!!....

Up to this day, I have loved every minute that I've driven the GTS and believe I have shopped around and compared it to the likes of the Accord, Altima, Mazda 6 and even the Camry Solara.... I have test driven all of them and since I came from an Evo I wanted something that was still performance oriented..

1. Accord- I see apporxiamtely 40 accords in a day and I'm so sick of seeing them!!; drives like a granny car even with the v6 in it.. best offer to me for V6 EX was 25,700

2. Altima- sportiest ride which happened to be in my liking sporty just like the GTS' ride, but I just couldn't get used to the styling.....and lastly, I see like 30 altimas on the road everyday......best offer for top of line v6 was 26500 ( I even looked at SE-R and it wasnt even worth 31000!!! I coulda bought an evo for that!!!)

3. Mazda 6- ride's not as sporty as i thought it was going to be and it's also so common on the road; inside cabin's not as spacious as the GTS.....lastly, still made by Ford https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif price was actually very good!! for V6 with everything was 24500

4. Camry Solara- rear is just horrendous!!! looks like someone hit it from the back, but interior is nice and not as common as any cars ive mentioned.... but it's 2 door and the sedan is just boring as f&*k!! no more 2 doors for me and couldn't get used to the rear!! the ride is also grannyish and i couldn't stand that......V6 with everything was for 26500 also kinda pricey!!! but it's a toyota.....

FINALLY!!!!! ahhhh!!! my black GTS!!!
I loved this car because it not only gave me enough power, but the handling in my opinion is actually very good!!! I dont know if you guys know but the shocks on the GTS are made by SHOWA!!! (makers of the ever popular SPOON products for Hondas and it's suspension coilovers!!) once u lower this car, the car becomes a very good handling vehicle ( with WORKS SPRINGS) ...I'm actually very surprised... the car's not common AT ALL which I REALLY LIKE https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif, interior space is huge!!! and lastly, PRICE!!!
I got the GTS for 23500 with everything!!!! along with the goodies, YOU GET 5 year/60k mile warranty which no one else offers from all cars I've mentioned!!!

to close my Post, I just wanna say that it's the best sedan 23500 can buy that also give you a peace of mind (warranty)...personally I don't think that the Galant was made with cheap materials and labor...so far i havent had problems at all and there's no creaks and doors sound very solid when closed.. anyway, that's all I GOTTA SAY!!!! I LOVE MY 05 GTS!!!! hehehehe

Your car looks great. I was eyeballing a maroon GTS at the dealer last night. I won't be getting a new car anytime soon though. What effect do the window top shields have?

men, if i had 5k more to spend, i would have gotten the GTS model.

Believe it or not, im actually enjoying this 4 cylinder car. All i really need is the GTS taillights, the spioler to match the tailights with, and the ralliart front bumper(if release) then i'll be happy with it.

clean looking 9G there.... so you lowered it using works springs? What was the feel of the car after and how much did it lower things? I myself would of probably saved the 5k and got a 4 cyl. spent 2-3k on goodies I would of wanted and pocketed the rest.. but im cheap like that with my $$$ https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

I've been drooling over that car for a while. I'm hoping the extra cost will be used to make up for the lack of sportiness you felt.

i use to hate the 9g they looked like crap,but now their growing on me, i like the blk on blk i thinks thats a great color for the model.i test drove a Gts when they 1st came out they do got balls on em..the guy let me hit 80+ on a backroad,but nice car man clean look

heheh thanks guys....the works springs' ride is very composed, of course stiffer, and handling is definitely better:)..... I love the ride and the only thing that works is changing right now is the ride height so when the new ones come out ill show u guys pics!! even with 4 ppl at the back the car was really composed..... MPG wise, when you go on a long drive, with the GTS, I was able to get 380 miles (and that's when the light just came on...) on a full tank so it's really good, but on city it kind of dramatically drops, i only get about 290 at most.. it hink it's because of the 4 speed gearbox....but no complaints here because i kinda drive crazy at times too heheh...with the autosticfk i bet youll be ale to churn out a lil more miles on there....the mazdaspeed 6 is a nice car, but not in the same league with the GTS...I really like it too, but for that price Ill just get a BMW 330.......anyway, stay tuned for future projects!!! thanks for compliments guys!!!!!

what size rims are those? Im looking at 18's but they look small, on your pics your black rims look sweet, works springs, are those the ones on ebay for 120$? Thanks bud!

I'm very happy with my LS. It is has the same power as the GTS, and it's lighter than the GTS. It also has a more comfortable suspension, and the center console is a better quality.

I bought my '04 LS for $14,500, with 24k miles in '05.

The only downside is upgrading to GTS headlights turned out to be a little more work than I thought it would be.
