I drive a 2001 ES 4 banger. My brakepads are wearing very thin so I need to change them soon. Do any of you guys know of good aftermarket pads for my car? If so please tell me where to get them and what size would I need.

Thanks....

It really depends on what you want? Do you want Performance Pads that don't last that long or you can get pads that have a lifetime warranty. I got the Axxis Metal Master Pads but before that I got the Autozone Pads for like $19.99 and they worked OK. But anyway there are lots of options.

NRG, you in Los Angeles right? Not Louisiana? IF in Los Angeles go by Brake Masters (www.brakemasters.com) and get your brakes done there. For around $140 for the front and less for the rear (because you have drums) you will get a lifetime warranty on the pads (Ceramic - around $82 per pair but worth it), meaning, once those pads where out down the road, go back to any Brake Masters and they'll replace the pads for free. All you do is pay for the labor, which is $58 or $48 with a coupon (come in the mail all the time). I took advantage of this last month along with having them flush my transmission ($68 ) and I gave them 4 quarts of Mobil 1 + 1 bottle of CD-2 for the oil change ($9.95).

Damn Rich that is really cheap! I went to Qwik Lube and wanted a Tranny Flush with Royal Purple ATF and they wanted $175.00!

I had a coupon. Regular price was $98. Car has never ran better. Feels like new still.

Man I really need it too! I guess I will just wait until March when I get my bonus and get the whole 60,000 mile service which is $1400 from Mitsu! the only otherplace I found that will do the tranny fluid does not do a full "Flush" they just drain it and then re-fill with Synthetic for like $70.

Hey thanks Rich, but currently I am low on cash and that 19.99 from autozone sounds good to me.
