if you are sure that you removed everything you need to reoved, try smacking it with your hand.

if that doesn't work, get a piece of wood and a mallet and hit the valve cover from the side. use the piece of wood to protect the valve cover from getting dented from the mallet.

I belive the only thing holding is the 6 bolts sparkplugs and a coulps of brackets correct

like i said, just smack the valve cover a few times and it should come loose. no need to remove the timing cover.

i wouldn't use a screwdriver. you might cause some damage either by scratching the metal or maybe warping the valve cover by using a screw driver. and that will lead to oil leaks. if truly you removed all the bolts, a soft mallet and a 2x4 would be enough to knock the valve cover free.

hell, i remember i was at the junk yard picking a valve cover and it wouldn't come free and hitting it with my fist worked just fine. had to hit it a few time but that was enough.

My valve covers were suck really bad on my car as well. Hitting it did nothing, I had to wiggle a screwdriver under it wherever I could and pull up very slightly. I used a very small flathead so there was very minimal bending of the outer rim, if any. But it was like somebody superglued it to the head.
